Bikerowave will be closed on CICLAVIA Sunday, October 9th, come ride with us!

The Bikerowave will be taking a big day off this coming Sunday October 9th to ride to CicLAvia in and around downtown LA.  You should come too!  If you’d like to join us for a ride from the shop meeting at 8 am and leaving at 8:30 sharp, please do!  We’ll join up with cyclists from the Culver City Bike Coalition and continue on down to where all the riding will be magically free of cars; and bikes, skateboards, trikes, wagons and skates are where it’s at.  It should be a moderate paced ride and it should be about 30+ miles of riding total (round trip), so keep that in mind.  We’ll have a booth set up downtown right in the thick of it at 1st and Spring, helping folks with minor repairs, air and good cheer.  Bikeside will be right next door, getting some up-and-coming politicians to experience and understand how important cycling is for this city.
If you want to join us for the ride, please have your bike running well–we don’t plan to open the shop for any repairs that morning and will hit the pavement at 8:30 sharp!
So:  Go to CicLAvia.  Ride your bike, wear your sunscreen, have a picnic, toss the frisbee, bring your kids, and enjoy.  If you haven’t done this, get some friends together and do it.  It’s remarkable to see, feel, and revel in a city free of cars.  Even if right now, it’s just one day, every…
